I'm looking at a 1980 Puch Maxi, really good condition. Spedometer is flaking out, but that is all i can find. 1000 miles. What's fair?

I paid $250 for my 1979 Puch with 4000 miles three years ago. Don't know if this was fair or not, but I was willing to part with this amount of cash for the bike.
Blue Book on that is $365.00, with full dealer recondition.
As it is, I would offer $300, as a starting point.

to start, go ahead to $350- see wat happens.
if its a no-go, bring it down.
Hey Ree-
What type of blue book do you have? Where can I get one? Also, what would the blue book value of my 1978 Puch Magnum MK II?
Thanks,
Tim

I have a really old Kelly book around here, but I dunno where you'd get one offhand.
Now, some models don't date back past 1984, but assessing the value is easy when you have the price range over 5 years on a model.
If, say..for example...your average Puch loses $20 in value per year, and the Book Value for a 1986 is $485, a 1983 is obviously worth $425.....for older mopeds that don't have many listings - the only thing you can do is a composite value, which is an estimate, but a very accurate one.
As for your Magnum, that would be "out of book" in that even my book doesn't have any listing for it at all...and to do a composite would result in a really ridiculous value cause of it's age.
If you want an estimate tho, just ask.
