Wow! That's a gorgeous bike! I really like those wheels. What did you have to do to it?
That Bike does look great. I have a question, though. Why is the carb cocked off at a 90 degree angle to the cylinder? Is that how you have to run a big bore kit and larger carb on the Magnums?
70cc kit
Paint and install the fairing
Sprocket/chain shortening
Lubed up the rear bearings while the wheel was off.
etc., etc.

Thanks...
Do a search for "Things not explained for speed kit installs" and read the messages.

im thinkin of puttin on the 70 cc kit on my maxi, whats your top speed? has anything broke yet? do you think its still as reliable? is it worth it?
I have been cruising at ~40mph but I haven't cracked it wide open yet. There is plenty of throttle left though. I caught myself at ~50mph on a slight downhill slope last Sunday on a beer run.
Nothing has broken.
It starts on the first kick 99% of the time.
Worth it? To be able to travel at the speed limit? Hell yes!
No more front bumpers on my rear-end.....
Nick
I checked out your post and I have a few more questions, if you don't mind Nick.
1. How fast does your bike go now?
2. How many teeth are you running on your front and rear sprockets?
3. Do you think similar results can be achieved on a 1 speed Maxi?
Thanks
No problem.
1. Look at my reply to Matt in this thread.
2. 18 front 36 rear
3. The 70cc kits advertise that they are for the Maxi so I don't see why not. The only difference I can fortell is that you won't have the low end a two speed has but that's about it.

Great Bike! I am very prejudiced in favor of top-tank models with nice big seats.Keep it Perty!
