Help me find designs!

<HTML>Right, I ttried looking in Lycos and Altavista for designs of these wee motorised skateboard things. I could find NOTHING! I need to have a look at some so then I will have an idea of what I need to do. I have 5 weeks to come up with at least 3 designs. Do you know of anywhere I could get such a thing? Please help!</HTML>

RE: Help me find designs!

<HTML><for designs of these wee motorised skateboard things.>

Are you referring to what is commonly known as a Go-Ped?

Verify with this description:

A Go-Ped is a skateboard that you STAND up on to ride, it has small tires, an upright handle bar up front (usually with a trigger throttle, like on a weed eater), a small motor is located on the back, usually exposed with the gas tank attached right to the motor. The motor is usually a two-stroke (30 C.C.)....the gas and oil are usually mixed manually (no pre-mix)

Is this what you're thinking of?

If so, keep in mind when I refer to it as a "Go-Ped" the relation of that name to the actual product is the relation of Kleenex to Tissue...in other words, i'm using the name of the well known company to describe the product. However, (to add to the confusion) the product is PROPERLY known as a Scooter!

Unfortunately no distinction is made between Scooters as we are familiar with them (Vespa, Honda Step-thru frames) and Scooters (as in the wee motorized Skateboard things)....the reason for this is because the First motorized production scooter was one of those "wee motorized skateboard things" and eventually evolved into the Step-thru frame Scooter that we think of today.

There's also a child's toy that was common in the 50's that was just like the "wee motorized skateboard things" except without the motor (it usually had a lever that you kicked to propel the back wheel)....this toy was also known as a scooter.

Anyway...search yahoo, lycos...etc. for SCOOTER and you'll find Go-Peds and their Competitors. If you're looking for designs, you also might look in the back of Popular Mechanics Magazine.

If anyone has the answers you need they will post it. have a patience. try this webpage, it has links to manufacturers of gopeds. see if you can't steal some design ideas from them.

Well excuse me for breathing.

<HTML>I'm going to cry now. You're being so mean. I only want a bit of help. I have never done anything like this before, so that's why I'm turning to you guys. I'm not hounding, I'm just panicking. My teacher's after my guts. I'm a bit behind because I can't seem to get the whole project off the ground. I might have set a goal too high for myself. All I want is a little support, not ignorant ramblings from annoying little smeggy smegging smeggers such as yourselves. If you don't want to help me then say so.</HTML>

RE: Help me find designs!
