Can someone please tell me what the best exhaust is for my stock gpr50? At the moment it goes 100km/h on the flat but I would like more power!

Try Cycle Imports.com of Florida. They stock exhaust from Giannelli, supposed to be very good. Have not tried one myself yet but will be getting one soon for my GPR75. Price is around $195.
All the best,
Tony
Matt here is a copy of an e-mail I recieved from Gianelli regarding GPR exhaust, this company is based in the U.K. but as I said can be obtained through Cycle Imports - talk to Ozy, also good contact for other GPR goodies.
Tony.
The Derbi GPR 50 system - 33911 and 33912 are not in stock at the moment.
These are already on order with the factory and are expected in the next 10
to 12 days. The 33912 silencer is a carbon/Kevlar outer can. The 33917 is an
aluminium silencer which we do not stock and would have to obtain by special
order.
The main expansion box is in mild steel with clear lacquered finish.
Price of the system with either silencer is
Tony,
I too have a GPR75 does the 75 come with the 22 mm Delorto carb, or does it still have the same carb as the 50? Thanks Bob
I am interested in buying the gpr75. What is the top end for
this bike stock?
Joe
Hi Joe,
First I weight about 150 lbs.The bike only registers 120 klms which is about 75mph . Mine when I tuck behind the windscreen down hill no headwind will do what looks like would be about 140klms. about 85mph. The needle goes past 120klms and points down to the tenths digit on the total miles meter. On flat ground it will do about 130 klms. Hope this helps, The handling is fantastic with great brakes. Bob
Hey Bob,
Not too sure on the carb size as I have not had a good look at mine yet, but am fairly sure it is the same as the GPR50, namely 17.5mm. I have been unable to find any engine specs. specific to the GPR75, (if you find any I would appreciate a copy), only for a GPR50 with a 75cc kit.
Metrakit who make such a kit sell a 21.5mm carb to complete the conversion, so 22 mm would be about right.
I recently talked to Oz at Cycle Imports who seemed very knowledgable on the GPR and he mentioned that he was looking into producing an adaptor plate/manifold so that a bolt on carb could be fitted the size he mentioned was I think 22 mm, but could have been 24mm, not too sure!.
Anyhow you might want to call him and have a chat, he also supplies other tuning parts, tel # is - 1-305-597-4440, web site, www.cycleimports.com. Hope this helps.
Tony.
Hey Joe,
Legally I can't give you a top speed as I live in Bermuda where the speed limit is 25 M.P.H.!!!! (which sucks!!) but I get 60k.p.h. @5500 r.p.m. in top, red line is at 11500 r.p.m. so work it out!! Should be good for at least 120 k.p.h.
Maybe when I've got $1000 to spare for the fine and fancy walking for 2 years I'll see what it realy does!!
Still what a great bike,
All the best,
TONY.
Tony, just think how long you'll live drivin' like that. One good wreck at 120 kph,and it may be your last.LIVE LONG AND PROSPER ! And let the motorcycle boys keep the funeral homes in business, not mopeders.BYE!
Thanks for the advice I'll probably get a gianelli exhaust then for my stock gpr50. All the best,Matt.
