I have been given two puch maxi mopeds, i do not know anything about these and haven't even seen tham yet, but you may well be hearing from me soon :) and also what is the situation in the UK when you don't have any documents for a moped, how can i go about geting some? is it possible? the owner before me was given it with no documents also so ??? any help would be greatly apreciated. also see my posts for QT50 parts
Check out Fred's troubleshooting post if they don't run. Also check out Puch.net (same guys as Mopedsonline.com) for more precise Puch troubleshooting. If you have 7-Wire e-mail me and I will send you the file. The way to check is to remove the sidepanels and look for the wiring connecting block.

Owen, I have a 78 Maxi. I bought it from the original owner and he received no "bill of sale" or title paperwork upon his purchasing the moped in 1978. I'm in New Jersey USA and when I went to title and register the bike in my name I was given a form to have the seller sign stating it was originally his bike. I don't think one got any title paperwork back in those years before licencing regulations. Cheers.
