More Batavus info. added to my web site.

Miniengine /

I've just got done adding pictures to the instructions on HOW TO add a Biturbo to the Batavus. I also have the first draft posted on the difference between the Encarwi carburetors for the Batavus. If anyone has any information or experiences that would add to these pages please email them to me. The web site is: http://www.geocities.com/miniengine . Thank you.

Excellent site... I will be sure to visit often. I have a Batavus Bronco and hope to do some of the modifications that you have been experimenting with.

One thing though... on the carburetor page, the pictures will not enlarge, which makes it difficult to determine which of the three carbs I have. When you click on them it comes up as a dead link.

Thanks again!

by the way...

By the way, what were the effects of the bi-turbo modification? how much extra speed, any effect on the low end, acceleration, etc.

Thanks!

Thanks Paul,

I've corrected the problem with the pictures enlarging. For those that have visited the site and found the same problem remember to 'reload' the page so the corrections are updated in your browser.

Biturbo gain

Miniengine /

Paul,

It's to early to tell. I'm still experimenting with the length of the head tube to see where the most performance gain is at. Yes, you can't have your cake and eat it too. The Biturbo does decrease some of the low end torque and acceleration, but shaving the head brings some of that back with the increased compression. If you shave the head first, then add the Biturbo you are still faster on the low end then a stock setup. The head shaving HOW TO is coming to the web site soon. If you want to add more variables to the equation, start playing the sprocket swap game. This is another topic of it's own.
