I've never really seen turn signals stay attached to any moped for a long time...the realities of riding one just seem to be in direct opposition to them staying attached and intact - besides which, those dorks in the four wheelers ignore them anyway.
Best of luck, tho - you can try cutting 1/2" plumbing pipe, if you wish.
