": I have a '77 Malaguti Commuter. Anyone have any idea about fuel. I heard one part oil to 50 pts gas. Can anyone elaborate on this? Thanks.
While I'm not familiar with that particular model, most all 2-cycle mopeds do run on a 50:1 mix of gas to oil. Many mopeds even have a mixing cup on the underside of the gas cap for easy mixing (one cap of oil for one quart of gas). The more accurate way is to buy 2-cycle oil in small bottles, each of which is to be mixed with one gallon of gas. Even more accurate is to mix fuel in a large graduated cylinder while maintaining the 50:1 ratio. This is also expressed as a 2% mix. That is, the mixture of 50:1 equates to 2% oil by volume. Hope this helps.
Steve."
