Power band is a term for the RPM range where an engine makes its usable horsepower. Generally it's used in reference to two stroke motorcycles with multiple manual gears. The idea is to keep the engine in the RPM range where the engine makes the most power while shifting through the gears to obtain maximum acceleration.
