Float needle

From MopedWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Part of a float valve system that regulates flow into the float bowl, the Float needle is a two force compression member which is about a centimeter if not smaller in length. It usually has a pin connection at one end and a rubber sealing element at the other end. As the float bowl moves, the Float needle moves linearly. It's rubber seal blocks an opening through which fuel flows from the gas tank. Many leaky carburetor problems are due to a damaged float needle.
