(**CURRENTLY ROCKING JAPAN RIGHT NOW. BE BACK IN PARADISE SOON**)
DIE HARD PUCH ENTHUSIAST FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS NOW. Got hooked when I rode my cousins MAGNUM. My first bike was a PUCH MAXI S. Put it in storage for 10 years due to a lack of available parts in Hawaii (only Moped Connection carried parts back then). Got back into it after the discovery of EBAY. Now I have 4 PUCH MAXIs with various kits and parts.
** Looking for other PUCH enthusiast in Hawaii to swap parts, stories, tips, tricks, etc. Email me. **
I also own a modified Honda ELITE. But they are a dime a dozen here in Hawaii. There is no challenge in modifying them. And besides, the PUCH looks way better.
I come from the old school way of modifying PUCHs where all we need is to trick out STOCK parts to go fast (at least 45MPH).
Fastest bike I rode was a PUCH MAXI: Two speed ZA50 motor with ported chambers, L-ring piston with a Magnium Bore ported (thats only 50cc!!), Delorto carb, tricked stock clutches, tricked stock pipe, and 18/32 gears. This bike's victims include: YSRs, Honda Elites (at a dead stop), kitted Puchs (Zetas and Autistas), etc. This MAXI could go at least 55 mph.
Puch in photo:
FRAME: 1980 Puch Magnum, black enamel paint job, ebr fork, coil over shocks, drop handle bar, gadabout fairing, 3.0 michelin tires, 18x32,
ENGINE: ZA50 motor with port match chambers, 80cc Metra kit, custom manifold, 21 Dellorto carb, Custom fit K&N air filter, oversized exahust header, modified stock Magnum exahust, modified lightened stock clutches,
