I started playing around with these damn things about 4 years ago. The first one was a motorised bicycle(sachs) that I bought at a backyard junk sale for $40 and my son (he's hooked worse than me) and I did it up ( it was in pieces when I bought it) and sold it. During the time we were doing it up the Piaggio ( you call it Vespa) SI came up so I ended up with it as well. It is the best Moped ever. Never misses a beat. It is an Italian made one so it did not have any of the Mod cons like the U.S. ones so we have updated it and put stop lghts, blinkers and a bttery and charging system in it and it works like a charm. Then the LAZER came along. It sat in a garage for 18 years because the owner lost the key. Done very few miles The tyres still had the lobes that are on new tyres not worn off. The speedo read .4 KM but the speedo drive in the front wheel was never assembled correctly. NOW I have an additional 2&3/4 Honda PC50's in bits in the garage.
My wife is threatening to sent me out there to live with them if I get any more.
