I work in downtown St Louis and got sick of paying for parking, gas, taxes and insurance on something that sits all day being shat upon by pigeons. My opposition to "Fuel Wars" based on our ridiculous consumption of gas also helped inspire me to make the full time switch. So while my neighbors continue to buy larger and larger vehicles to carry their groceries in, I've sold two trucks and turned to a Malaguti Ciak 50. It's a sexy Italian scooter that zips me 5.9 miles to work and 5.9 miles home again while allowing me to unwind and smile all the way. I haven't looked into it, but I'm probably one of the older members to join. 35 is a month away...
