i've been riding motorcycles for about a year and a half, and i thought my room-mate's metropolitan was just a novelty. he weaved a tale of a forgotten columbia that slumbered in it's garden shed lair, so with a stack of 10s, i decided to take the plunge. after a few nights in the solitude of my basement, a dime-capped gutted fuel valve, a busted knuckle, and a gasoline fume euphoria, i brought life to my red demon. i fastened up the pieces, and out we went to sprinkle the night air with carbon and banshee howls. now i understand....the epiphany is overwhelming....the stares of disbelief, the disgruntled cage drivers, the approval of gleeful lunatics....i am two strokes closer to nirvana.
