I share the same birthdate with Johnny Cash, Michael Bolton, and Blanche Devereaux of The Golden Girls. With the exception of our birthdate, Blanche and I have nothing in common. If I was a Golden Girl, without a doubt, it would be Dorthy Petrillo Zbornak. Although, I have absolutely no desire to assume the identity of an eldery Italian woman, so I could easily convince people that I was the son of Dorthy Petrillo Zbornak, Grandson to Sophia Petrillo. Our bitter facial expressions and sardonic, catty comments would practically mirror each other, proving to be a personality trait that could only be inherent. My fault lies in that I could never live in Miami, due to my contempt for senior citizens, retirement communities, and the state of Florida. My cameo appearances would be few and far between, making me the easily forgotten, virtually unknown cast member of The Golden Girls. Between Johnny Cash and Michael Bolton, I have more respect for Mr. Cash's work. Some would say Mr. Cash's work possessed "substance"and "musicianship", something Mr. Bolton's work severely lacked. In Mr. Bolton's defense, one could only possess anguish towards an artist with such incredible vocal stylings as Mr. Bolton's. I dream of one day, with Bolton-esqe tonality, serenading the woman I love. In the rain, on bended knee, I reach to her second story window. The curtins part, she extends her hand towards mine. Unfortunately for me, being tone-deaf, this will only ever be a dream.
