I used to spend summers with my aunt and uncle in Switzerland when I was a youth. My uncle had an old Velo Solex moped, which was mine to use for as long as I was visiting.
For years I have looked back fondly on those days, cruising the country roads and lanes, thinking about how much fun it would be to ride again.
Back in June I found a scooter on my local Craigslist. It was a blue 1980 Yamaha QT 50, in sorry condition, (about half of it was in a cardboard box). I bought the scooter and have since fixed up it's appearance and mechanicals.
It's a lot of fun to ride, and I look forward to adding some performance enhancements as I learn more about my scooter.
