started riding when two things happened. the first was that i blew out my knee, tearing my acl either during a rock and roll show, or a one night stand, or a combination of the two. either way, it meant no bicycles for me for a while. the second being that i ran into an old friend who was riding a bicycle with an engine, or at least, that's what i thought it was.
got an 05 kinetic. rode it 25 miles a day on work days, more on my days off. bought a puch because i wanted to learn how to work on bikes, plus i wanted to get something fast, but blew it the fuck up while test riding it around the block. sold it, and bought a pa50-II. i later made it go wicked fast, then blew it up. fuck a cir clip.
went to a moped rally in Phoenix where I got totally fucked up, and acted like an ass. Someone should have beat the shit out me, but they didn't I sorta wish they would have, but maybe the hours of puking and the hang over that lasted over 16 hours was punishment enough.
went to a moped rally in Virginia, and besides running into a Mosquito Fleeter (totally his fault) didn't do anything embarrassing.
bought a weird german only released batavas, that i loved, even though it was slow. i later sold it to one of the puddle cutters before she was a puddle cutter. she loves it too.
drove to kalamazoo, which was a great thing to do, once. paying $1,200 to go to a moped rally was a bit much. but an amazing experience. like going to mecha or something.
had our rally here. it was pretty good. I mean, not amazing, but good. one of my shocks broke, and my pipe fell off (?), and at one point there was a ride that only had two puddle cutters on it do to everyone else breaking down. but everyone swears they had a great time. so that's good.
went to blingbq. i love the kids in chicago soooo much. hell of a good time, even if drunk cops and batman were getting in our way.
went to seattle's rally for exactly 1 hour. it was the best rally ever, since it was incredibly fun for the ENTIRE time.
bought an 08 tomos sprint. fuck what everyone else says. tomos' are a fine example of a bike that is not only reliable, but fast, and torque-y. i highly recommend them to people that love to ride, and could only moderately enjoy wrenching on shit.
went to LA. my girlfriend rode down with me on the MF bus, even though she didn't have a loaner bike waiting for her. It was the sexiest thing ever. My girl's made of magic.
going to fly to chicago in a little less than a month to hang out for a couple days, and then drive to BOMB PROM. Then there's our rally again, and Seattle (going for AT LEAST a day this time!) and San Francisco later.
