I've been working under the assumption that this is the way to go when converting to d/c:

Sorry for the wall of text. I've been up way to long and am rambling a bit.
I'm helping a friend out with a build and I have made a wiring harness from scratch so that he can run a 12v system with a headlight, tail light, LED turn signals and a horn.
Power source is a treats 12v CDI.
Up until now I've been wiring it so that the ignition system stays as a 12v a/c system straight off the

Yeah those are pretty cool. Haven't actually tried one yet and I wonder if they are noisy.
My personal favorite helmet is my Roof Diversion R101. It's so damn quiet it's crazy. My first helmet was an arai and it was so damn loud that during one motorcycle trip I got so pissed off I pulled over, ripped all the plastic air vents off of it and duct tapped the whole thing up. Looked ghetto as

one more thing.
To test if a helmet is tight enough; when you have it on move the helmet around. Your scalp should actually move with the helmet. If the helmet slides around on your head then it is too big for your head.
Just like clothes every helmet manufacturer's sizing is different. A Scorpion helmet Large is like an Arai or SHoe Medium.

Full face is the way to go. Anything else and you risk losing your chin which would not be fun.
Any reputable helmet manufacturer is fine: arai, shoe, scorpion, hjc, fulmer, etc...
The thing about helmets is that they all fit a bit differently. You need to try them on to see what feels right. Some manufacturers such as Arai have different shape helmets for more round or more oval heads

Your ped is a later model. All the earlier racks are the same regardless of seat size.
You might want to make another post asking for a rack for a mid-eighties maxi.

Probably 700-900 if the bike is in really good shape. A stock maxi can get 4-600 around her if it is in great shape
It always costs more to build up a good ped than it's worth. Keep it and enjoy it!!

Holy fucking shit you guys. If you don't like his price don't buy it. Why do you feel such a strong need to contribute your opinion when it wasn't asked for. Who gives a shit what he wants to sell his magnum for. If you want to buy it make an offer. If you don't just fucking move on.
Seriously. Do you guys ever get anything done with all your bitching about things that are totally unrela

Ryan,
Are you sure the bushings are supposed to be stationary?
The clutch bell has three oil passages (holes). The bushing has two offset holes.
This would lead to the theory that the bushing, crank and bell are supposed to ride independantly of one another.
You sure it's not that you are putting too little tranny fluid in there?
:)

Oh man. I'm so disapointed in you. An e50?
haha.
Actually I just helped a friend build a kick start e50 polini for a maxi and it doesn't feel as 'sophisticated' as the ZA but that thing was SO EASY to put together and the over-all power is fairly good.
Right now I'm rebuilding a Monza 4-speed motor which is a bit of an adventure. There are about 30 loose needle bearings in that motor.

How's the UPS project going?
I'll keep my eyes out for it and let people know.

awe jake. Unwad your panties and check back to reality.
This is how life works.
If you buy a car it costs $20,000
If you buy the parts and build a car it costs $60,000
If you need a za second gear clutch you buy one for $20 and it's cheap. You don't buy a whole engine for $150.
Surely you don't need lessons in how the world works?
lol

Fuck yeah lol.
If you post something up complete everybody wants a part. If you post up parts everyone wants it complete.
hah. So whatever.
I have about five or six spare za engines. This one had a bent connecting rod so no reason to keep it in one piece.

Had an extra engine in awesome shape except for a bent connecting rod so sacrificing it for the masses! Cheap!!

You might consider replacing the dashboard (avialable from Treatland.tv), polishing the gas stains out fo the tank the best you can and taking care of any other issues before selling.
People won't pay much for projects but they will pay a lot for immaculate peds. Your's is a very nice ped but it needs a few things first.
