ok so who's done aluminum casting? i'm looking to build a simple clutch body but modify it to fit a different shaft.
right now i'm experimenting with making a mold of the original clutch body, then i'm pouring melted wax into the mold without a center hole, then i use the new shaft to shape the center hole for the wax clutch body.
my question is this: is sand molding good enough to make the final product? is there a better way?
