Performance Ciao build
I have a one year goal of building a bike around the Ciao engine. It has a kit on it, the case still needs to be matched to the head, and the frame and wheels will need to be built. I will also have a motor/ generator and 72v+ battery system on it. The first steps are to figure out the drivetrain. The plan is 5" front travel and 6" rear travel. I want to to be rugged enough for light off road and trail use, but still be competitive enough to be a race bike. This is where I am at with the planning. It is designed around 16" wheels and 1.1 meter wheelbase currently. I yanked the geometry from another bike I have that rides well.
Here is where I am. The engine will be cradled by a welded plate structure and not the tubing. A jackshaft will connect all the power.
