FINALLY! PUCH 5-Star Bolt on disks....
So this stemmed from a solution for disk brakes on my Sebring where I ran into issues with the factory 5-star. I looked to the popular Puch 5-star with its bolt together goodness. From there I produced a custom disk as well as spacers to give the require backspacing needed. Add five 8mm x 70mm bolts(which i am sourcing ones with low profile heads), lock-washers and coupling nuts and bam! Bolt on disk brakes! Now these are designed for Tomos or EBR disk brake forks but you could probably use the different spacers to accommodate a weld on bracket to your own forks. Im also using a sealed bearing hub so I would recommend a bearing conversion or longer axle for your loose bearing setups. From there I just use standard ol' tomos calipers, axle, and hardware. I have already had in production the Disk's for the Italian style wheels with the "Z" pattern and will gladly develop them for other wheels like the tomos ones if there is a demand. Let me know if you are interested in this.
PS: I know our community is an extremely resourceful one and there will be alot of pushback saying that you could make it yourself, true, but as someone who has taken the time to develop a set, I could tell you a one off solution will probably cost you much more and not bolt up as cleanly as this.
