I asked this same question a year or two ago.
The answer I got is there are seals and what not in the injection system that might be negatively affected by gas.
Also, I donno if you have ever had this happen to you, but I have seen it a couple times.
You work on an express that hasn't run in years. You take off the spark plug and kick it over then it pukes almost exactly 50ccs of 2 stroke oil out of the plug hole.
Also if you don't run your express for a couple days or weeks its a little harder to start and smokes like a bastard for a minute or two.
This is because those little mechanisms that are supposed to stop the oil from injecting while the engine is off leak.
I have a theory that this was intentionally done by honda so that a bike that has sat for ever wont seize up.
I am thinking it might get to the point that the exhaust fills up with premix if you used a thinner fluid.
If you try this and your exhaust bursts into flames, you owe me a diet zima.
