I did that mod on Kyle's Pinto last year.
Weld the stock stinger in the end of the diffuser LP23 at the joint of D3 dwell section.
I did not cap the end of the convergent cone.
Instead i did a adjustable bled at the end of the convergent cone for adjusting back presser/pipe temp.
Bat out
