Floating points are the result of a weak spring. I had that problem with kitted E50's using Iskra points.

Myron told me you can swap the Iskra spring out and replace with the Bosch spring from your old points.

Rather than do that I chose to stay with Bosch. There is no comparison between Bosch and Iskras. Way better quality with the Bosch points.

Problem with Bosch is they quit making the points without the wire some 15 years ago I am told so you have to solder the wire from the points to the wires on the stator.

One of these days I want to try a CDI but I'm not great with electrical things so for now am sticking with points.
