points work fine on puchs or any other engine where they are easily accessible for cleaning and adjusting.

I prefer CDI on my mobys, cause taking of the magneto to adjust the points is a huge pain in the ass. I mean really. put in piston stop, remove magneto nut, remove cam using puller, etc.....you get the picture....

Also, with how CDIs are so cheap these days, it's hard to resist going in that direction. Besides, I've blown enough condensers to justify the cost of a CDI system.

Also, you don't have to be racing to enjoy blasting.
