HMMM...piston clearance? how high?
so if you read the other thread, you know i kitted an av89, it did NOT have the exhaust clearance issue others are having, HOWEVER the piston doesnt go all the way to the top of the cylinder. it gets close, but not nearly close enough.
the bike runs, runs pretty good actually, BUT because of this, the compression is SHIT, and im not getting my usual super torque that a parma should deliver.
SO...i wanna chop the top of the cylinder, but how close should i let the pistons non-domed part get to the top? should i let there be a slight bump at TDC? the last parma i had was like that, and it was a torque MONSTER.
i also believe this lack of torque is keeping me from variating all the way, due to power loss. its still hitting about 50 but has ALOT of vario to go.
