350 pound guy on a 1978 free spirit upgrades

my brother is a heavy guy i say 350 he has a free spirit and wants to go faster right now he doesnt want to put a kit on it yet he just wants to go about 30 to 35 on it what performance parts should he get he gets up to about 25 on it now let me know he wants to keep up with me and we still want to ride before the snow comes
