Re: bigblockfiero new tech
I've hit a little over 50 on all stock modified parts (including a 1hp cylinder a stock pipe and a 12mm bing). I didn't use every trick in the book. It really depends on how well you can dial in your setup. I'm sure some guru out there can easily get to 60mph if they're clever enough. 70 is a stretch though (unless of course, they're going down hill).
Just because you can slap on parts and go fast doesn't mean that you can't re engineer parts to be better than aftermarket parts and go even faster. Most people don't realize that just reading some of the in depth information on this site could save them 100s of dollars in parts and give them an equivalent power output.
Honestly, I'll have to find someone with a bike to put my cylinder on before I can say that it works or doesn't. That being said, I don't know why this wouldn't work as long as you have sufficient case pressure.
This is the reason that kits like the 70cc tccd, 70cc kstar, 50cc tccd, 50cc zeta, 50cc parmakit, 60cc malossi, 70cc airsal... (I could keep naming these all day) have ports above the intake is the same reason bigblockfiero cut the "eyebrow ports" in the transfers. Loop scavenging is a proven idea. Look it up. The idea is solid. Prove that a new idea is wrong. Don't be an asshole and shoot people down. Hell it might work. Why not?
