Moped Army

since the beginning of the summer me and my friend logan have been chillin alot and we couldnt always go places since i was the one who only had a moped and he really wanted one after he rode mine a few times. i spoke to his dad and his dad bought him one that week. it was used but in GREAT condition. show room floor condition, its a 2008 streetmate racing, blue in color with ~1500 miles on it & with an A35 biturbo and 28 rear sprocket. there was a gash in the oil line between the pump and the carburetor and it hit a dry spot when i was driving it so i pedaled it back to his house which was a 1/4 mile and it cooled enough and got unstuck. long story short we took the oil pump off and mix the gas now. he didnt run it long like that until he asked his dad for his card to buy some performance parts. we got a 70cc kit, and an airfilter. we got it running but it wasnt jetted right but it never seized with the amount of oil that was going in the fuel (ALOTT) lmao. and was around about 600 miles with a steady and easy break in period. one day just sittin in the garage looking at the mopeds wanting to make them faster. we were using desnorkalized stock airboxes but it was still restrictive at front of the airbox. it was still nice outside seventy degrees or so. i was running stock gearing with a biturbo, 70cc high comp head, fully gutted airbox with custom filter on it. and tuned the air mixture screw. before the rejet i was hitting 36mph, after i hit 40mph. i got a 24 tooth sprocket for the back and got me up to 47-48 mph. logan would do 45 with biturbo airsal 70cc kit 28t rear sprocket. i went 31 to 24, thats 7 teeth i gained 7 mph... 1 tooth 1 mph (jetted right) logan went 28 to 22, 6 teeth. i still had my 17.5mm carb from when i had a kit. i had an 83 jet for it, i was afraid it was going to be too rich so i dropped the needle all the way down on the slide. got it running and adjusted the air mixture screw. i took it for a test run and when you gave it full throttle it ripped good rpm's and had an amazing power band. he lost 1 mph and was down to 44mph and sometimes 45 on good days but had way more power. he ordered a 22 tooth for the back and took it for a spin tonight. it was dark and when there would be enough time to see the electronic speedometer when passing a light he saw 51 mph when on flat land. and since it was apox 57 degrees out tonight it needs to be rejetted for cold weather(it ran richer).


i asked my friends dad who has a welding machine and possibly going to make bigger manifolds and port&polish it soon

(logans) 2008 streetmate R blue..... 51mph with 2100 miles on the bike, crank and bottom end, 600 or so miles on the kit.

-high flow air filter 83 jet & tuned air mixture
- 2 flood lights for a truck with stock head light. theyre mounted in the bolt holes for the mirrors. then rigged the switch in the storage compartment and cut a square out in the foam and rigged the switch in there. they are AMAZING! lmao.
