I've not run a long rod crank yet, and I know some people who have but they only run that setup and cannot compare what it does. I just know that from my scooter research they make the same kits for different rod lengths specifically for having engines that produce peak power lower in the RPM range. It may also be that the stoke peugeot rod length is not ideal, so this does help, Don't know anyone who has done a side by side comparison honestly.
