From what I understand the long malossi crank is not a stroker crank but a longer con rod (90mm vs. 80mm) which has some odd effects on timing and from other reports, tends to lower the peak power band down and increase low end torque. Other than that you have a get setup, not saying the crank is a bad thing, it just takes some more finessing with to get everything to line up. Also if you get the AD type carb then the idle screw and air fuel mixture screw will be easier to access on the bike, Sits on the other side and you won't have to run your screwdriver though the running parts of the transmission to access them.
