I had a hell of a time getting those oil seals in when I rebuilt my moby. What worked for me in the end was very lightly chamfering the edge of the depression and then gently tapping them in with a rectangular piece of wood and a hammer. The chamfer wedges them in there nicely without having to heat up the case yet again.
