Re: WoT sporatic bog
alright. first off. there isn't really any need to baby a new kit. sure the first 15 miles mayyyyybe matter but what you should be doing with a new kit is really making sure you first have no airleaks at all and second make sure you are jetted correctly in every rpm range/throttle position. (chamfering is good too) this means it is super important to take yr bike to full throttle. That way you know that your main jet is correct. See your main jet affects every throttle position from full throttle below. if that is not tuned correctly then you dont know how your bike should be running. It is hard to say if "sporatic bog" is lean or rich. a lean bog or a rich 4-stroke. Four stroking can often be storatic as your engine is choking on too much oil/fuel. Lean bogs are often more consistant.
To fix/tune this bike you need to make sure first of that your fuel flow is correct. take your line off and make sure it is a stready drip- the kind that makes you go oooh shit! fuel is getting everywhere. Fuel flow issues can definitely cause a stalling sensation at speeds.
Next you need a range of main jets. I can't give any range for you on phbgs cause im running a mikuni, and also your pipe will affect your jetting range as well. maybe 80-90s probably. Start rich until you KNOW that you are 4stroking (studdering -actually sounds like there are double the combustions) then downjet until that stops. also you need to be sure you are at full throttle to know how to gauge your mainjet. Then adjust your needle from richest to leanest until your mid is good. then tune your brass screw (most likely 1 full turn from all the way in)
If you are still having problems check your timing and such i set my 80metra at 3/4ths advanced with a biz card gap roughly.
and also.... make sure you have no leaks. like zero. that is probably the number one rule with mopeds though.
good luck dude.
