Is This a Head Leak?
Just rebuilt my stock moby 50v. Running great, compression around 180 psi when cold, slightly less warmed up. I'm running without a head gasket. I decked my head and sanded down the top of the cylinder ever so slightly just to flatten it out so I could put the two together without a gasket.
Thing is, there's oil between the head and the cylinder, I see it after I ride, it appears to be coming from where the head and cylinder meet. But, I've tested with carb cleaner extensively at idle, even after it's warmed up. If there's a leak here, it can only be happening at a particular RPM. But performance doesn't seem to be affected.
Take a look, what do you think? Should I run a paper thin aluminum can gasket here just to be safe? I guess I could use RTV just to be sure. Should I just ignore it?
Jet is 68 (rich on purpose for break-in), and plug is dark dark brown, almost black.

and...

Caveat question.... does the exhaust look screwed in enough? It's tight, but every so often, after warming up, I can inch it in a little bit more.
