I upgraded my rear shocks to ones off of a 80something CM200. I found them cheap on ebay.

Also, Treats has new brake shoes, which made a big difference on mine.

But I think the biggest change in ride and handling was new tires and tubes, huuuuuge difference and mine feels very stable all the way to 50.
