I'm working on a complete hobbit rebuild right now, with malossi 70cc / polini pipe / 21mm phbg / boyesen 2-stage reeds. I might give the TJT variator a try. With just the pipe, stock it was hitting pretty ripping speeds, shit lows but at about 20-25.... ZOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!
had it going about 35 with just the pipe. that stock carb is a pain because of it's placement, i'm gonna make a custom intake out the side for my phbg. also because i like slide carbs better than butterflies.
on a small note, GET GOOD REEDS! they'll save your low end and give you superior ripping capabilities over those flimsy metal reeds! Treats has 'em, just waiting to hop into your cage!
