Re: sachs performance
overfilling the case will just cause a mess, there's an overfill drain on the side of the clutch cover. it is also a vent, meaning if you were to plug that up, all your seals would weep and you'd still have a mess.
the most important thing to me for my sachs is to be reliable. i ride the fuck out of this thing. rode it from seattle to portland last year without a hitch.
i picked up the 70cc athena, parmakit 14.5 intake (my bike already had the sachs 14.5 intake, but the clutch and shifter cable stops broke) and a puch 15 bing, and i run a modified tomos estoril. plus i went from a 46t to a 36t sprocket in the back and am running the za50 cdi from 77. i just got the version 1 cdi box from treats.
my bike was dead reliable with the stock 13 sachs bing, rear sprocket change, estoril and stock cylinder, was pretty fast for a stock sachs too, but i want more power on hills and maybe a little more top speed. i think the 70 should reliable, i hope.
i asked benji what the difference between v1 and v2 cdi's and he said "we think minimal. we are waiting for the people to find out. i use v2, v1 is supposedly the same but i like v2"
i was using the cdi box that came with my 77 cdi and it worked great, but i wanted to try out this all-in-one cdi/high tension coil b has, and it was cheap when the secret sale was going on.
and yes, you will need to convert to 12v bulbs. that is as easy as going to an auto part store and buying them. SUUUUPER bright lights too, i might add.
