even if its a 20mph version, you can get more power out of it.
most of the restriction on puchs is in the exhaust, if you take it apart, on the main long tube connected to the header, there are 3 holes through it, however on yours, some of these holes might actually be little metal cylinders through the long pipe, grind these all out till its 3 holes instead, and you will get more speed out of the bike for sure.
one time i had a bike that was doing about what yours is, low 20s, below 25 but above 20...probably 22, 23
i de-restricted the exhaust and took off the stock air filter, BANG, 32mph.
sometimes it's not that easy, but sometimes it is! give it a shot dude.
p.s. most XKs just came with normal cylinders, hence the flat exhaust port.
