the multivar allows for better tuning of your variator. The stock set up has a 5 roller system which makes balancing your variator weights difficult. When you have the 6 roller multivar you can just change out 3 of them (spacing them correctly of course) to work for your tuning needs. Plus it has a MUCH larger cheak plate allow the belt to ride farther up (which means more top end)
