with the stock set up you won't need that yellow spring.
Today I solved my slippage starting issues. First off, my malossi belt (which is the best for the variated ciao when new) was pretty beat up. So it wasn't grabbing like it normally does. Resorted to using my belt (the one around my waist) wrapping it tightly around the variator and pull starting it. WORKED LIKE A CHARM! I seriously recommend this method to anyone that has problems starting their bike.
I can take photos if anyone is interested in seeing how this is done...but I'm guessing that most get the picture.
