I recently acquired a 1974 foreign 30 km/h model Vespa Ciao. It has a 12/7 carb on it. I put a Sito Plus exhaust on it, drilled a bunch of holes in the air box, and put a 50 jet on it. The original Jet was a 43 as well. The speedometer doesn’t work very well and it’s in km/h anyway, so I don’t know how much faster its going. The plug looks nice and brown and it feels like I’m getting more power. I live 5000 feet above sea level and that will affect your jetting as well.

After reading this thread, I’m wondering if I should do a plug chop with a new spark plug and experiment with taping up some of the holes. Hummmm.
