Plug Color + Temp Update
I put a new plug in and again I'm nervous about the engine temp. The last plug did eventually color nicely. But this plug chop thing seems to be predicated on the fact that the plug colors quickly. If that's the case, then I'm running too hot.
I just took a 3 mile ride through traffic. Some WOT, some idling, and some in between. No color on the plug when I took it out. I came back home, pulled the plug again, and still no color on the core (left side of the attached image).
So I taped up one more of the holes on the Poloni air filter, took another 2 mile ride, and still no color (right side of image). Speed was back down to 26/27mph too. In terms of how much speed I can get, 1 hole on the Poloni is too little, 3 is too much. 2 is perfect.
For now I'll run with less air (and slower). This is all on the 48 jet. I have a 50 and a 52 coming from mopedwarehouse next week. Hopefully I can throw some more gas at it and get my speed back up and my temp back down.
:M
