Re: Plug Color + High Pitched Hum + Pedal Arms
PLUG
Having ridden it a bit more (about 30 miles, I'm guessing), I'm confident that the engine temperature is ok. I've had no problems, and the plug is starting to color (see attachment). VERDICT: The bike runs great on the new pipe even with no modifications made to the stock airbox and carb.
HUM
I was worried this had soimething to do with the engine overheating, but I've abandoned that theory. I think it has something to do with metal vibrating somewhere in the machine. VERDICT: Not going to worry about it.
ARMS
The unicycle arms were out of stock at the distrubutor, so I picked up some moped arms from 1977 Mopeds. I'm having difficulty with that shop, but the arms are perfect. The arm no longer comes near the pipe.
-----
So that concludes my simple installation of the Sito Plus pipe. I picked up 5mph and more power in general. I now get 20 - 25 mph on hills, which is a big improvement. Off the line the bike still needs improvement, I have to pedal start or push off. Hopefully upjetting and increasing airflow will help with that.
-----
Next, I'll start messing around with increasing my jet size and air flow.
