Moped Army

Hi Guys,
The baby brother for the shopster is runnin' after much searching for carb bits, that baby blue wasnt workin for me(see bfore pic) or the leg deeliboppers. Kinda goin for a Vincent Black Lightning look (getting a couple of decals done.....MINICENT in gold, in the Vincent style.

Anyhoo, anybody out there got some advice on electrics on a QT 50's lights and turn-signals....

The Headlite wont work..bulb seems ok and i've taken the handlebar switch apart, cleaned/sanded the contacts.

The turn-signals work on the right-hand side (and they flash) but wont work left side, cleaned,sanded the switches as above and rotated the bulbs, which seem ok.

The rear brake light works but the riding light dosnt.
ie only comes on when you pull the brake lever.

any ideas? seems like its something stupid since the right side blinkers work..is the blinkers not working connected with the headlight not working or vise versa and boy do Yamaha like their electric spagetti (see pic 3) WTF.. the express dosnt seem to have half that shit.
I've got an analoge multi meter but it would be better off in the hands of a chimp for all i know what to do with it -)

Update on the shopster (see pic4) whole world of pain..i've broke off an easy-out in the block..i'm grinding it out a millionth of an inch at a time with a dremel (not optimistic)
as usual any and all advice welcome.
