Moped Army

I recently bought this (http://www.treatland.tv/universal-moped-external-ignition-coil-p/moped-external-coil-red.htm) external ignition coil because my Peugeot would start up run fine for about 1 min and then it would die. I would try to start it up again and then it would only run for a little bit and then die. I hooked up the old red wire that usually ran from the flywheel to the spark plug onto the ignition coil and then the ignition coil to the spark plug. I thought that this may work but I had the same problems as I did before. I am now thinking that it is the condenser. What do you think?
