Nutty. I have never had a battery straight up explode under normal operating conditions.

There is fuel line and wiring in there. I donno what that acid can eat through, but it might be a good idea to neutralize it.

You said the lights blew out, or they just stopped working?

I had a similar thing happen where my lights stopped working and the bike ran like shit. Also my headlight would blow everytime I revved the bike.

It was a combo of corroded ground and a bad battery.

I feel like there was something else too, but I can't remember right now.
