Ok, right off the bat thats a carb issue. i had the same problem, it would idle for like 5 sec and then turn off its been sitting and its clogged up, clean the carb very well i mean very well. buy some gum-out carb cleaning solution and spray some of it in a plastic cup with the carb in the cup make sure that you use the whole can so it will dissolve what ever particles that have been in there and then if you can blow it out with a air gun or get some guitar string or stereo wire and clean the little holes in the inside and make sure the jet is clean as a whistle. and you should be fine.
