Moped Army

so if i'm getting new universal arms, do i need to get a new "3 piece crank" shaft too? am i correct to understand that my right side pedal and the crankshaft are all one piece?

(i would take it off and look but my cotter pin bolt is snapped off and it's staying in by willpower alone. if i take it out, i won't be able to secure it back in.)
