the valve wont stay open because you jbweld it shut. and you dont need to make new housing, if you dont mind having 2 chunks of split housing. i just like this method cause im a fan of on the spot, quick, effective solutions that dont require you to leave the shop.

you do not need the decomp to start, it just helps. but not really even. after youre done replacing it you probably wont even notice a difference.
