attached is what i do. its a picture of a peugeot decomp but its all the same. saves you a trip to the hardware store, you dont have to go and mix and match bolts that will fit. just hack apart the existing decomp, jbweld it CLOSED, put JB on the threads and all up in the whole thing. then just thread it in and youre good to go.
you'll need to replace the two chunks of cable housing with one equivalent length, but no big deal.
